Jurriënne is an urban designer with focus on water, (sub)soil and landscape. With her interest in climate adaptation of urbanized delta’s, she operates in-between the fields of urbanism and landscape and contributes to projects on climate-resilient futures and the interaction of city and countryside.

Background
Jurriënne completed a bachelor (Architecture and the Built Environment) and master in Urbanism at the TU Delft, with a graduation project on flood-safety and landscape identity. Through the Traineeship at H+N+S, Witteveen + Bos, Wing and Waterschap Vallei en Veluwe she gained a broad experience as a designer in an interdisciplinary context of (technical) design, policy and governance. In these past two years as Trainee she has been part of the research, development and implementation of the ‘water en bodem sturend’ concept in a collaboration with the College of Rijksadviseurs.
